Myofascial treatment focuses on the fascia, which is a connective tissue found throughout the entire body. It is found in every part of the body and system creating support, structure and stability. Fascia is highly adaptive, for good and for bad. When dehydrated or injured, or placed in a shortened position it will adapt to this, and become dense, tight and restrictive. Myofascial release works to release these adaptations and return the fascia to it's healthy pliable and flexible state. Most clients repost immediate relief after a fascial treatment. The treatment is slow, and performed with a lotion and not a oil in order to effectively manipulate the fascia

Prenatal ( Pregnancy Massage) is performed to help the mother to be ease through the pregnancy related changes that occur in the body. Depending on the trimester the treatment will be performed with the mother -to-be either laying on her stomach, and then eventually laying on her side. Elena first moved to Toronto from Germany in 2006 when she started working for L’Arche, an organization that provides group homes for people with disabilities. After seeing how a Massage therapist there helped residents relax and feel better, she became interested in studying massage therapy herself and has now been in the profession since 2010.

Since becoming a Massage Therapist Elena has been working with many different types of clients of all ages and backgrounds, including children, seniors, athletes, people recovering from injuries and surgeries, prenatal clients, and many others suffering from a variety of illnesses and conditions. Although Elena is famous for her deeper pressure, she can easily adapt her treatments to specifically address each clients particular comfort levels and treatment goals.

Elena views massage as an integral part of overall wellness and preventative healthcare along with fitness and nutrition. In her free time she likes to stay active and includes a variety of exercises into her routine, like Yoga, Spinning, Pilates, Strength training and different fitness classes. After a few years working in the broadcast industry, Courtney decided to pursue a career as a healthcare practitioner. In 2011, she was an honours graduate of Everest College and became a Registered Massage Therapist. She has extensive training in Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release and joint mobilizations. Throughout her practice Courtney has worked in a number of different settings including multidisciplinary clinics, sports rehabilitation clinics and corporate wellness. She has also volunteered as an RMT at multiple sporting events, including being a member of the medical team for the track and field events during the Pan Am games.
