Myofascial treatment focuses on the fascia, which is a connective tissue found throughout the entire body. Fascia is located in every system in the body, it wraps around muscles and their fibers, compose ligaments, and wraps around bones and joint capsule. It is found in every part of the body and system creating support, structure and stability. Fascia is highly adaptive, for good and for bad. When dehydrated or injured, or placed in a shortened position it will adapt to this, and become dense, tight and restrictive. Myofascial release works to release these adaptations and return the fascia to it's healthy pliable and flexible state. Most clients repost immediate relief after a fascial treatment. The treatment is slow, and performed with a lotion and not a oil in order to effectively manipulate the fascia


Prenatal Massage

Prenatal ( Pregnancy Massage) is performed to help the mother to be ease through the pregnancy related changes that occur in the body. Depending on the trimester the treatment will be performed with the mother -to-be either laying on her stomach, and then eventually laying on her side. The treatment can be specific to a area of concern, or a general full body treatment for maintenance.

After a few years working in the broadcast industry, Courtney decided to pursue a career as a healthcare practitioner. In 2011, she was an honours graduate of Everest College and became a Registered Massage Therapist. She has extensive training in Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release and joint mobilizations. Throughout her practice Courtney has worked in a number of different settings including multidisciplinary clinics, sports rehabilitation clinics and corporate wellness. She has also volunteered as an RMT at multiple sporting events, including being a member of the medical team for the track and field events during the Pan Am games.
